Artificial turf has been installed on athletic fields throughout New England since the early 2000s. This presentation will focus on synthetic turf system options, including infill material and shock pads, as well as site constraints, budgetary issues and maintenance strategies. The presenter will also cover recent concerns regarding the health, safety and environmental risks of synthetic turf.

Ms. Sullivan has over 20 years of civil engineering experience in study, design, and permitting for both public and private sector projects.  Her breadth of civil engineering knowledge encompasses corridor reconstruction (road, water, sewer, and drainage), hydraulics & hydrology (H&H) evaluation, bridge/culvert condition assessments, and site development.  Ms. Sullivan is familiar with local, state, and federal regulations and coordinates closely with state and municipal officials throughout the New England area.
