Megan McGovern
Special Education Teacher
East Bridgewater Public Schools
Megan McGovern has been a special education teacher for eleven years. She began working at a therapeutic day school in Boston, supporting students with trauma, ASD, ADHD, PTSD, and ODD. She has been an inclusion specialist for East Bridgewater Public Schools for nine years. In addition to being a Junior Senior High School teacher, she is the Unified Coach, Senior Class Advisor, Yearbook Advisor, and Student Activities Coordinator. She is a district-wide Inclusive Practice/UDL Coach and has presented on various topics such as executive functioning, inclusive practices, microaggressions in school culture, and IEP development. She is licensed in Mild to Moderates Special Education PK-12 and holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Inclusive Instruction. Before her career in education, Megan worked for Staples Corporation in sales and human resources. Megan lives in Norton, Massachusetts, with her husband and their two children, Tommy and Theresa.
