Michael Celona

Michael Celona is an environmental scientist with MassDEP’s Drinking Water Program in Boston. Michael leads the program overseeing lead testing of drinking water at schools and childcare facilities. In addition, he supports capacity development programs for public water systems through grants, technical assistance, and education. He joined MassDEP in 2019 after 20 years at the MA Department of Public Health. He has degrees from Wheaton College and Tufts University and is a licensed Sanitarian
