Andrew O’Leary

Andrew has served New Bedford Public Schools as for 17 years. He has been the Assistant Superintendent of Finance & Operations since 2018. Prior to his current role he was Business Manager, Director of Federal & State Funded Programs and a teacher. Additionally he taught at Bristol Community College for 11 years.

John P. LaRue
Certified Playground Safety Inspector
Since 1991, John has focused on the design of safe & accessible playgrounds. He was part of the Team contracted by the US Access Board in 2000 to develop and write the Design Guide to ADA and Play Areas. John is a recognized speaker and has presented well over 500 seminars throughout North America, addressing Character in Youth, Playground Regulations, Performance Based Surfacing Specifications and the American with Disabilities Act. He is a Registered CEU Provider with the American Society of Landscape Architects; a Certified Playground Safety a TRIAX and Rotational Penetrometer Inspector and a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.

Robert O'Donnell

Rob O’Donnell is the Director of School Finance at DESE. The unit that he oversees is responsible for the Chapter 70 program, charter tuition and reimbursement calculations, school choice, the End of Year Report data collection, and the development of related data reports.

Nicole Good
School Wellness Specialist

Nicole Good is a School Wellness Specialist at the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Office for Food and Nutrition Programs, and works to support and advance wellness efforts for Massachusetts students, schools, and communities. Nicole oversees the SWITCH (School Wellness Initiative for Thriving Community Health) Movement and is a partner in the Massachusetts School Wellness Coalition. Nicole is currently a fellow in the Rennie Center’s Massachusetts Education Policy Fellowship and is a firm believer in the importance of creating opportunities that support the whole child

Robert Leshin
Director of the Office for Food and Nutrition Programs

Rob proudly serves as the Director of the Office for Food and Nutrition Programs at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. In this capacity for the past 7 years, he has overseen the administration of 12 USDA Child Nutrition and Food Distribution Programs in Massachusetts. Before working at the Department, Rob worked in the field of education policy and school finance, first for the Massachusetts State Legislature and later for Massachusetts’ Governor Deval Patrick in the Office of the Special Advisor on Education. Rob previously served on the Institute of Child Nutrition’s National Advisory Council and currently serves as the Northeast Representative on the School Nutrition Association’s State Agency Advisory Council. At the state level, Rob serves on the Massachusetts Food Policy Council, in addition to the inter-agency Food Security Leadership Working Group. Rob is inspired by mission-driven work, creating positive impact and, above all else, he is inspired by the selfless work of program operators across the Commonwealth.

Margaret Raymond Driscoll

Margaret Raymond Driscoll is MASBO's Executive Director and was previously its Professional Development Coordinator. She started her career in private industry and then volunteered her time at her childrens' elementary school, overseeing the development and implementation of a new library media center and managing it for nine years. Margaret is in her 15th year as a Melrose School Committee member.

Diane Fisk Johnson
Director of Finance and Administration

Diane Fisk Johnson currently serves as President of MASBO and as Director of Finance and Administration for the Shore Educational Collaborative in Chelsea. Her pastpositions have included five years as the Financial Manager of Facilities andTransportation at the Cambridge Public Schools, more than seven years ofservice as the Chief Financial Officer for the Arlington Public Schools, abrief stint as the Chief Financial Officer of the Dr. Franklin Perkins School,Coordinator of Financial Operations and Purchasing of the Cambridge PublicSchools, and Senior Budget Analyst at WGBH Boston.
These experiences give her an understanding of the intricacies of public schoolbudgeting and financial operations with both city and town municipal systems,as well as educational collaboratives and 766 private schools.
Her duties in Arlington and Cambridge included extensive work with both long-rangecapital planning and building project management, including two MSBA core andthree accelerated repair building projects.
Diane has a Master of Arts from the Harvard University Graduate School of Arts andSciences and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College. She is an alpine skiinstructor at Loon Mountain, holding PSIA Level 1 and Children’s Specialist 1certifications, a Co-Leader of Girl Scout Troop 82030 in Cambridge, and anAssistant Scoutmaster for Scouts BSA Troop 56 in Cambridge.
